So Who is ZaDora Williams?

ZaDora Williams LCSW, PMH-C also known as Sunflower Z, is a licensed clinical social worker serving as energy psychotherapist that walks by faith and rooted in my purpose to be a divine guiding light, teach, heal and inspire others on their healing journey. I'm here to be of service and bring love, balance and connection back to the world through the people I work with. I connect people with their deeper purpose, their higher self, God and help them bring their mind, body and spirit into alignment.

I founded Sankofa center for Healing in 2012 (formerly known as LYFE Counseling) and dedicated 14 years providing culturally specific care and helping individuals, families, and communities heal through trauma, reclaim their power, and cultivate lives rooted in purpose, and peace. My works spans across  labor and delivery units, NICU, adolescent psychiatric unit, community mental health, residential facilities and private practice.

My journey into this work is both professional and deeply personal.

Like many of the women I serve, I know what it feels like to navigate anxiety, grief, burnout, identity shifts, motherhood, post-partum anxiety, birth trauma, relationship challenges, and profound life transitions. I also understand the transformative power of healing when we address not only our thoughts and behaviors, but also our emotions, nervous systems, spiritual well-being, the stories and narratives we've carried for generations.

My healing journey and experiences as a mother of two lead me to become a certified Perinatal Mental Health Clinician (PMH-C) and passionate about improving women's mental health and maternal health outcomes especially among Black mothers. In 2026 my passion lead me to open Sunflower Z's Healing Garden a sacred space where women and moms can practice self-love, ground in their faith and experience healing that honors the whole person and aims to liberates their mind, body, and spirit.

I'm a Chicago native with Louisiana roots, who relocated to Portland, Oregon where and spent 14 years serving the mental health and wellness needs of women, children and families. After going on my sankofa healing journey I was called to Lafayette, Louisiana to deepen my faith in Christ and serve the mental and spiritual health needs of women and communities

I hold a Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California. As the founder of Sankofa Center for Healing, LLC, she provides mental health education, consulting, and program development, collaborating and offers transformative workshops and events, including her empowering Liberated Parenting series. I am committed to reducing mental health stigma in African American communities, striving to improve Black maternal health outcomes and foster systemic changes in mental health and wellness services.

Outside of her my healing pursuits, I enjoy spending time with children and loved ones, dancing, savoring delicious food, traveling and spending time in nature. I also enjoy serving on the women's ministry at my church.
